2 Dogs are better than 1

A bright light while she was with us, bye little baby Dior.  We'll miss you always. xoxo

Little silver bench

I think I forgot to take a before pic of this one, but it was pink and gold, and now it's silver!  It's a keeper!!

New Deck!

Building the new deck

Old Deck

At The Craft Fair, Summerside, PEI

My booth at the Three Oaks Craft Fair.  I was a first time vendor, and had a great time.  I also sold lots of street signs, cookies, and clocks, as well as some circle scarves!  See you there next year.

Hotel Uniforms

Alterations of the front desk uniforms that I did for a new hotel.  The original was plain black, and I added the green piping along the neck and front, and added cuffs with piping to the wrists.

Homemade Bread

My first foray into the world of bread baking.  I've been baking cookies and cakes since I was 12 years old, but bread always looked so difficult.  I'm happy to report that it's not that hard at all, and it can save you a lot of money at the grocery store when you make your own.  The cost works out to about $1/loaf when you bake it yourself, plus you know exactly what's in it :)

Authentic-Looking Street Signs

A brilliant idea, in my opinion.  I started making personalized street signs (good for the man cave, teen's bedroom, your small business, restaurant decor, etc.).  I cut and painted the boards, then varnished them, then used very high quality vinyl stickers to personalize them.  Now you don't have to steal that street sign with your last name on it!

Grape Juice, Step 3

The finished product - delicious, but a bit of sugar had to be added to take away the sour-ness of the green grapes.  Otherwise, tastes just like Welch's!  Mmmmm...and all in all, much simpler than I ever would have thought.  It probably took less than an hour from start to finish.

Grape Juice, Step 2

After picking the grapes from the vines, I washed them and then cooked them for about 20 minutes.  I mashed them while they cooked to bring the juice out.  (No water added)  I shouldn't have added the green grapes (rookie mistake) because in the end I have to add some sugar to the finished product.  If I had only used red grapes, the sugar wouldn't have been necessary.  This pic shows all of the grapes from the previous pic in one pot, and in the end it produced one jug of juice.

Homemade Grape Juice Recipe in 3 Steps

Our house has a grape arbour with red and green grapes growing like crazy all over it.  This year, I finally decided to do something with them.

My Perfect Purse!!

I designed and manufactured my "perfect" bag!  Purple colour, front pocket for sunglasses or whatever, business card outer pocket, cell phone outer pocket, long over the shoulder strap, big, big, big, and notice the totally funky purple and white polka dot lining.  The most important feature of this bag is the long strap...I hate carrying a purse - I'm a diagonally/over the head/throw it on and go kind of gal.
